Team Expands to Help Businesses Meet Net Zero Goals

Padd Energy has recently expanded its team in the North West of England as well as Glasgow to meet the growing demand from businesses in the UK and globally that are looking seriously at their long term impact on climate change.

A recent recruitment drive has bolstered the firm’s taskforce of senior engineers with extensive energy experience, particularly in renewable technologies such as heat pumps, biomass, solar and wind.

The expansion follows the appointment of a new head of advisory services earlier in the summer, which strengthened Padd Energy’s expert engineer and technical due diligence capabilities.

Chris Paddey, Managing Director of  Padd Energy, said: “Investment in our advisory team was a critical part of our growth plan given the highly specialised support we provide for organisations, many of which have multiple and global sites, each with their own strategic requirements.

“We have also recruited additional consultants at senior engineer level to work closely with our clients on decarbonisation and net zero strategies and projects.”

Padd Energy’s specialist team advises clients in the delivery of net zero strategies, including the preparation of business cases and economic models. Their role involves leading board members and senior managers through the net zero process before implementing engineering led solutions to meet their clients net zero targets.

Chris added: “There has been a significant shift in business attitude over the past 12 to 18 months from goal setting towards taking serious action to decarbonise. Our role is to work in partnership with boards of directors and environment and energy teams to turn their net zero goals into reality.”
