Structural Engineer – Power Sector –  Joins PADD Energy as Principal Engineer 

PADD Energy has appointed a structural engineer with extensive experience in the power sector to expand the company’s asset integrity offering.

Duncan Pryce joins from engineering and environmental consultancy Waterman where he spent 25 years developing his experience in civil and structural engineering, particularly in relation to thermal power plants.

Over the past decade his work has been focused largely with Drax power station, where he has been closely involved in managing the integrity of the existing plant and structure, working with the civil engineering, boiler and turbine teams.

Chris Paddey, Managing Director of Padd Energy, said:

“We are really excited that Duncan has joined the team and his experience will allow PADD Energy to further develop its work with Drax, which is one of Europe’s lowest carbon power generators supplying 6% of the UK’s electricity needs and 15% of its renewable power.

“He also brings expertise in 3D modelling and finite element analysis, broadening and strengthening our offering into the power and energy sectors.”

Duncan added:
