Padd Energy has expanded its Net Zero consultancy team and launched a new office in central London, strengthening its operations and drawing in the best strategic and engineering talent nationwide.
One of the latest recruits joining the London office is Claire Chapuy, a specialist in bioenergy with experience in anaerobic digestion, gas-to-grid and compressed natural gas projects, all critical components of the energy decarbonisation journey . She joins Padd Energy’s Net Zero team from Sweco where she was part of the COP26 strategy taskforce.
Chris Paddey, MD of Padd Energy, said: “This is an exciting time for our business following the expansion of our Glasgow office, as we extend our presence to the South of England and provide opportunities for some of the country’s brightest talent in the decarbonisation sector.
“Claire has worked globally on strategic renewable energy projects and has amassed knowledge in design, procurement and due diligence that will be of huge benefit to our clients.”
Claire was part of a team that helped set up a renewable energy plant in the Caribbean and has provided research assistance for other overseas decarbonisation projects. She has also been closely involved in feasibility modelling for energy storage solutions.
Claire said: “One of the things I am most looking forward to as part of Padd Energy’s decarbonisation team is helping businesses develop credible and impactful Net Zero strategies with a fully developed implementation plan.
“The company’s size and scope means that I will be part of a highly capable team, collaborating with colleagues who are highly experienced in their respective fields in all aspects of energy and sustainability.”
