Padd Energy Expands Net Zero Team in Glasgow

Chartered Mechanical Engineer Jess Edward has joined the Padd Energy team in Glasgow to further enhance the company’s net zero and decarbonisation capabilities.

Jess has particular experience in decentralised energy projects and net zero carbon strategies, having previously worked as part of the Decentralised Energy Team at the global engineering consultancy Atkins.

During her time there, projects included developing the net zero strategy for AstraZeneca’s Macclesfield site, developing a route map to support their ambitions to achieve net zero by 2025. Jess also played a key role in delivering the Scottish Government’s Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies (LHEES) Pilot Programme, spanning an 18 month period supporting 9 Local Authorities.

Jess’s project experience includes renewable energy generation, low carbon technologies and district heating networks, from feasibility through to delivery. She has also worked extensively on energy efficiency improvements to buildings, optimising the performance of existing stock.

Chris Paddey, Managing Director of Padd Energy, said: “Jess’s knowledge and understanding of effective net zero route mapping and Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategies makes her the perfect fit for our Glasgow team, which is expanding rapidly to meet increased demand for our services.”

Jess said: “I am delighted to be embarking on the next stage of my career with such a significant player in the net zero arena. This is a very exciting time for the decarbonisation sector and for Padd Energy, which had developed an excellent reputation for helping both the public sector and global businesses  convert their net zero goals into reality.”
