Padd Energy Expands London Office with Bioenergy Appointment

Padd Energy has expanded its London office and further enhanced its Net Zero capabilities with the appointment of process engineer and bioenergy specialist Jad Habib.

Jad brings with him extensive experience in sectors including Anaerobic Digestion (AD), Combined Heat & Power (CHP) and Energy from Waste (EfW), from technical due diligence to concept and detailed design.

Chris Paddey, MD of Padd Energy, said Jad’s in-depth knowledge of process calculations and techno-economic modelling will support growth of the company’s portfolio of complex multi-national decarbonisation projects.

He said: “Jad’s technical capabilities and process engineering background complement many of the skills within our organisation and strengthen our offering to clients who are looking for a robust partner to plan their Net Zero journey.

“This latest appointment further strengthens our presence in the South of England and builds on the growth we have already seen in our Glasgow and Yorkshire offices.

Jad studied chemical and environmental engineering before joining Sweco. He went on to develop his career as a process engineer in low-carbon energy. Notable projects that Jad has delivered include the techno-economic feasibility of a city-wide district heating network in the UK and the design of an AD plant in the Netherlands. Jad has also acted as EPC project manager on the world’s largest compressed natural gas fuelling station.

Jad said: “Having worked on and managed a number of low-carbon energy projects in the UK I am looking forward to working as part of the decarbonisation team at Padd Energy to help clients work strategically to achieve their Net Zero goals.

“Padd Energy, as a growing, dynamic and proactive company, is an ideal environment for me to collaborate with highly experienced colleagues and make a difference at this turning point in the energy industry.”
