New director joins Padd Energy board

Padd Energy is delighted to announce the appointment of Sam Irving as a Non-Executive Director on their board of directors to support the strategic growth of the business.
Sam has worked for over 20 years in various strategic financial roles across  technology, support services and professional services including 12 years at BDO where as an M&A Director and among his 35+ deals he advised Stobart Group on its £50m+ investment with Allan Jenkinson to create Stobart Energy. He also supported the £200m funding of Spencer Group’s 25MW Biomass and EfW Power Facility in Hull.
Sam believes ‘Padd Energy has a great opportunity to expand its sphere of influence from a specialist technical consultancy, servicing the global power generation market, into aligned disciplines such as manufacturing, process industries and professional services where Chris and his team can utilise their unparalleled global expertise and network to take responsibility for the delivery of larger more complex projects. I have known Chris for a number of years and stayed close to the development of Padd Energy, this appointment is very exciting for me and is a clear demonstration of Chris’s appetite to grow his business. I will act as a sounding board to support Chris’s growth strategy and where relevant, I will support any M&A or fund raising initiatives’.
Chris Paddey, managing director of Padd Energy said ‘The appointment of Sam to the board is a large step for us and is testament to our desire to grow and expand the business. Sam’s ethical approach, knowledge and experience complement our growth plans perfectly. On behalf of the board I welcome Sam and look forward to working closely with him over the coming years’.
