Mark Burrows to Speak at Energy Institute Event in London
Padd Energy’s associate director and energy efficiency expert Mark Burrows will speak at the Energy Efficiency Conference later this month, on the subject of energy data analytics.
The event on March 28 will be held at the Energy Institute in London and Mark will share the findings of his own personal research on this topic. He will talk specifically about barriers to the uptake of energy data analytics in UK manufacturing.
Mark said: “This topic has been the focus of independent academic research, which I have been carrying out alongside my work in the energy sector. I am looking forward to sharing the findings with my peers, building on some of the work I have been undertaking with Padd Energy’s existing customers. I believe it will help organisations understand how to overcome some of the challenges involved in implementing EDA as a tool for energy reduction.”
Mark heads up Padd’s energy consultancy division and supports businesses with energy strategy, efficiency planning, energy storage and demand side response.
Mark is a Chartered Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Energy Manager. He is also a fellow of the Energy Institute and Leeds Sustainability Institute as well as being the current Chairman of the Energy Institute Yorkshire Branch.
“Energy data analytics is a complex area and one that many organisations find hard to get right, particularly when it comes to designing an appropriate solution and understanding how the information gathered can be used to influence change and inform energy strategy,” said Mark.
“I am looking forward to addressing delegates as an energy professional; combining my academic research and professional experience, with a view to helping organisations understand how EDA can work for them.”
