Energy Engineer Joins PADD Energy

An energy engineer with experience in low carbon energy projects, waste to energy and district heating networks has joined PADD energy’s net zero consultancy team.

Ewan McKenzie joins from Glasgow-based Synergie Environ where he worked on net zero schemes across the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and business case development through to design and build.

Most recently he has worked as a process engineer on a new build anaerobic digestion plant project in NE England.

Chris Paddey, Managing Director of PADD Energy, said: “Ewan has an excellent range of relevant skills to support our work with clients both in the UK and globally to plan and deliver tailored decarbonisation route mapping.

“He brings knowledge of energy modelling software, techno-economic modelling and low carbon technologies such as heat pumps and we are delighted to have the benefit of his expertise in the net zero field.”

Ewan said: “This is an exciting time to join PADD Energy as the energy sector continues to navigate a period of significant change to achieve national climate targets and a net zero future.

“The company has an excellent track record in low carbon energy development and I look forward to working with the team to strengthen our net zero consultancy offering.”
