Relocation of 1MW Biomass CHP Plant

Padd Energy acted as the Project Manager and Principal Designer for the relocation of a 1MW woodburning CHP and ORC plant to a pellet manufacturing facility located in North Wales

Our services include:

The CHP plant uses virgin woodchip to produce a combination of heat and electrical power. It uses an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) to produce 1MWe of electrical power and 4.1 MWth of heat. The heat is used for onsite drying of wood chip that is manufactured into wood pellets. The CHP plant is located within a new building for which Padd Energy managed the construction of.

The new CHP plant operates alongside an existing CHP and ORC plant of the same design that has been operational since 2016.
