Lightwater Valley 400kW Biomass Installation

The team at Padd Energy designed and installed a 400kW biomass heating system at Lightwater Valley Theme Park in North Yorkshire. Our services were provided in a turn-key fashion inclusive of pre-feasibility, front-end engineering design, installation and commissioning.

Lightwater Valley is a significant tourist attraction in Yorkshire attracting over 500,000 visitors each year. Along with a 240kW Solar PV system, most of the energy demand is covered by the renewable energy generated on site.  Our experience in energy management was also carried over into Padd Energy advising on the most advantageous ways of commercialising the renewable electricity generated, via power purchase agreements and demand side response strategies.
