Government-funded Biomass Accelerator Programme

Team members at Padd Energy carried out a 3-year programme to manage the DTI led Biomass Heat Accelerator Programme to improve the uptake and quality of biomass plants in the UK.

Our services include:

Feasibility studies at over 60 sites
Development of projects leading to 8 new plants constructed.

The Biomass Heat Accelerator Programme included managing and checking some 60 feasibility studies for biomass plants ranging from 100kW to 10MW thermal output. After feasibility were completed there were two further development stages for plants that met certain quality criteria which led to the eventual construction of 8 demonstration plants from 100kW to 6 MW output.
